Low T Side Effects - Heart Attacks, Stroke, and Other Injuries
Prescription testosterone (e.g., Androderm, Axiron, Testim, Androgel, etc.) may double your risk of suffering a heart attack. In fact, many men have reported from suffering an Androgel heart attack after taking the popular prescription drug. Other testosterone drugs (a.k.a. low T drugs) carry similar health risks. If that wasn't bad enough, the manufacturers of these low T medications failed to warn users of the dramatic increase in risk for suffering a life-threatening injury like deep vein thrombosis and/or heart attack. This is why there is now a Low T class action lawsuit being handled in a federal court in Northern Illinois. If you or a loved one suffered a Low T heart attack, Low T stroke, or Low T blood clot, you may be able to join the suit and receive compensation for your injuries.
Low T Drug Manufacturers May Have Placed Profit Over Safety
Commercials flooded tv stations telling men who had low energy and/or low sex drive that they may be suffering from "Low T", a condition related to lower-than-normal levels of testosterone. The supposed answer proposed by the manufacturers was to take a testosterone prescription medication such as AndroGel, Androderm, Axiron, Testim, etc.
Unfortunately, what the commercials failed to tell these innocent men was the heightened risk of suffering a heart attack, blood clot, or stroke after taking a testosterone drug. Many Low T patients taking these drugs are experiencing serious cardiovascular injuries. Our Low T drug injury law firm has been monitoring this situation and are ready to help you and your loved ones.
Studies Indicate Health Risks of Taking Low T Drugs Like AndroGel, Axiron, Testim, etc.
The Journal of the American Medical Association publishged a study that evaluated cardiovascular injuries of men who were prescribed testosterone drugs compared to men not taking testosterone medication. The study revealed a sharp 30 percent increase in risk of heart attack or stroke for men taking the testosterone drugs compared to men not on the drugs. The study concluded that the use of testosterone drugs is associated with increased risk of adverse cardiovascular injuries, including, myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke, and deep vein thrombosis.
Another study, conducted by epidemiologist William Finkle and researches at UCLA, supported the results of the study from American Medical Association Journal. Dr. Finkle's study showed an increase risk of heart attack for men taking testosterone medication. The UCLA researchers discoverd that in men ages 65 and older doubled their risk of heart attack in the 90 days after receiving a testosterone prescription. The UCLA study included over 55,000 participants. The study concluded that in older men, and in younger men with pre-existing diagnosed heart disease, the risk of heart attack following initiation of testosterone therapy substantially increased.
Low T Class Action Lawsuit

The cases will be decided through multidistrict litigation ("MDL"). This is basically a big Low T class action lawsuit. Numerous Low T side effect lawsuits have been filed against the makers of AndroGel, Axiron, Testim, Foresta, AndroDerm and Depo-Testosterone. Our team of Low T heart attack lawyers are here to help you and your loved ones if you want to take legal action.
