Five LESS Common Types Of Carolina Wrongful Death Cases

In our last wrongful death library article, we discussed the five most common types of wrongful death cases we see in North Carolina and South Carolina. But what are some examples of less common wrongful death cases? When learning about your own wrongful death lawsuit, it is important to understand that most any situation in which your loved one’s death could and should have been prevented by another person or entity may be an example of wrongful death. Below, find five examples of rarer types of wrongful death cases.

Fatal dog attacks. Each year, dozens of people are killed by a dangerous dog or even packs of dogs – many are either children, the infirm, or the elderly. In dog bite wrongful death cases, the owner of the dogs or a property owner is often to blame.
• Dangerous prescription drugs. The number of Americans who are dying from prescription drug errors, medication errors, and accidental overdoses is increasing each year. In some cases, a doctor, pharmacist, drug company, or other party is responsible for these tragic deaths.
• Swimming pool accidents. Hundreds of children drown each year in public and private swimming pools. Some of these pool are not properly fenced or lack proper supervision.
Amusement park accidents. Amusement parks, fairs, and carnivals are meant for fun, but negligent amusement park owners, dangerous conditions, or poorly maintained rides can lead to serious injuries or death.
Fireworks accidents. We all know that fireworks can be dangerous and that many people who misuse fireworks are injured or killed each year, especially around Independence Day. However, some fatal fireworks accidents are the fault of the fireworks company, the fireworks seller, or the entity putting on the fireworks display.

Has your spouse, parent, or child been killed in an accident involving the carelessness or negligence of another? Even if your case doesn’t fit into the more common types of wrongful death cases, you may still have an opportunity to collect damages from the responsible party. Talk to a Carolina wrongful death attorney today about your case.
