Comments (0)
A head-on crash resulted in two people requiring medical treatment at a hospital. The driver of a 2004 Mazda crossed over the center lane on Linwood-Southmont Road and slammed into a 2006 Dodge van head on. Both drivers had to be airlifted to the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

According to The Dispatch, there were two other passengers in the Dodge van who had to be transported to the medical center as well.

Police estimated the Mazda driver’s speed to be 55 mph at the time of impact. The speed limit in the area is 45 mph. As a result, the driver was cited for speeding. The driver of the Dodge van was estimated to be going the speed limit.

It’s so frustrating reading about accidents where innocent lives are turned upside due to the carelessness of a driver. In this accident, multiple people suffered injuries because a driver was speeding and failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.

The victims should consider speaking to a personal injury lawyer in North Carolina to discuss their legal options. If they wind up missing a significant amount of time from work, accrue a large number of medical bills, and/or suffer a decrease in their quality of life, they may be able to seek damages through a civil action. To learn about what types of damages can be pursued through a personal injury claim, take a moment to read this article which was written by a wrongful death attorney in NC.
