Woman who Slowed Down for Obstruction is Killed in Fiery Truck Wreck.

A woman in her 20s has died in North Carolina (NC) after a truck rear ended her car  when  she slowed down to avoid an on obstruction on the road.

The woman died on Wednesday when her vehicle was engulfed in flames on I-85 near Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), wsoctv.com reported.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision including a passenger car and a bobtail truck which is a tractor without a trailer.

A trooper with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said the victim slowed down to avoid carpet padding in her lane of travel.

The car behind her swerved into the next lane to avoid hitting the woman's car.

The bobtail truck then slammed into the rear of the woman's car, crushing it against a concrete median wall, causing the car to burst into flames.

Our thoughts are with the family of this young woman who died in such horrific circumstances.

Although it's unclear if charges will be brought against the truck driver, the case again apparently illustrates the danger of the situation when heavy trucks fail to brake in time. It also highlights the hazards of obstructions in the roadway.

Last year we reported how terrible accidents can occur when a driver swerved to hit an animal.

In that case the driver who swerved to avoid hitting a dog caused an accident that left a young child dead.

In cases involving trucks a failure to reduce speed all too often can prove fatal and result in a fiery inferno. Recently we reported on a fiery chain reaction crash involving a truck in Florida (FL). which involved seven people and left two dead.

Accidents involving a commercial truck can be very complex and you are usually going up against a big trucking company with well-trained claims adjusters. This is where we come in.  Our firm has  taken big rig, semi, tractor trailer/truck injury cases all the way to a jury trial, using multiple experts, and we have handled such trials in multiple states.
