Two Die, Three are Seriously Injured After Pickup Truck Veers Under Tractor Trailer in North Carolina (NC)

An accident involving a tractor trailer and a pickup truck on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) has left two people dead and three more injured.

 

North Carolina (NC) Trooper C.B. Ferrell said the tractor-trailer was parked on the side of the road Monday afternoon. Ferrell said a witness said the pickup, which had five men aboard, veered under the truck, Fox 8 reported.

 

As well as the two people in the pickup who died, Mecklenburg County's paramedic service, said the other three people in the pickup were injured were transported to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.

 

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near where Interstate 485 meets Interstate 85 near Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

 

The fatality occurred about two weeks after a deadly wrongful death road crash in North Carolina (NC).

 

In February a deadly two-car collision on N.C. 111 left one man dead and another in the hospital, highway patrol officials reported. Also in February two North Carolina (NC) women died in a single-car crash on U.S. 220 in Franklin County, North Carolina (N.C.) after veering off the road and hitting a concrete wall. Mary McKethan Harper, 54, drove off the northbound side of U.S. 220 at McNeil Mill Road and hit a concrete wall, state police spokesman Sgt. Rob Carpentieri, said. The deadly one vehicle accident took place in the early hours of the morning.
