Two Dead in South Carolina Log Truck Accident

According to NewsChannel 15, two are dead in a motor vehicle accident in Marlboro County, South Carolina (SC).

The SC truck accident occurred at approximately 3:30 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, on Aaron Temple Road in the Wallace Community. As per the coroner, a 56 year-old and 57 year-old, both of Wallace, SC, were killed in the truck crash. The 56 year-old ran  stop sign on Aaron Temple Road and hit a log truck. Both men died on the scene. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was awaiting a tow truck to arrive on the scene at press time to remove the log truck so investigators could analyze the accident scene.

SC truck accidents like this can be devastating, and they highlight the importance of obeying rules on the road. It's a shame to think what tragedy could have been averted if only one driver, in this case, had come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

Victims of these crashes may wonder what their legal recourse is, especially when the at-fault party is also a victim of the SC truck accident. It is still possible to seek damages from the insurance company of the deceased, but you must take legal action quickly.

If you are unsure of whether or not to go forward with a truck accident claim, discuss your case with SC truck accident attorneys who offer a free consultation. They can go over the details of your case and determine if a SC truck accident claim is advisable.
