As a personal injury attorney it's amazing how many sad personal injury stories come across my desk. This time two children were killed and their parents badly injured in a car accident Saturday afternoon when their car ran off the road and hit a tree in Surry County, North Carolina (NC), authorities said. The children who were only 9 and 12 tragically died at the scene.
My thoughts go out to their parents who were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where they were listed in critical condition.
So what caused such a terrible accident? We're not sure yet, the accident happened about 2:30 pm on McBride Road in the Flat Rock community. It was raining at the time, but authorities are not sure whether that contributed to the wreck and the accident remains under investigation.
Single-vehicle accidents often leave the family and investigators with a lot of questions. Did the vehicle malfunction? Did a tire blow out? Sometimes it is a malfunction or defective equipment on the vehicle that caused the wreck.
Many times, it's tough to prove what caused a single vehicle accident. This is why you need legal representation from experienced Carolina personal injury lawyers. The car insurance companies are not your friend and will try to take advantage of you if you lack a top notch Carolina personal injury lawyer. We have handled similar car accident injury lawsuits throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
