Several injured as car slams into light rail train in Charlotte, NC

Comments (0)

Several people were injured following a collision near the intersection of Remount Road and South Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. The wreck began when an SUV clammed into the back of a car that was stopped at a crossing gate.  The impact between the SUV and the car was so strong that the car was forced through the crossing gates and collided with the passing light rail train. Several people were injured, including some from the light rail train. There are currently no charges pending in this case but the investigation is continuing, which includes whether or not alcohol was a factor.

Whether alcohol was a factor or not, the driver of the SUV was clearly not paying attention to the road when they carelessly and recklessly slammed into the back of a stopped car.As a result of this negligence, several people were injured, some severely.   We hope all those injured make a speedy and complete recovery from their injuries.  While there have been no charges filed as of yet, they may want to speak to an experienced personal injury attorney to discuss what options they may have for filing a personal injury claim.  Too many times, we have seen in our firm, clients who were injured due to the negligence of another driver due to that other driver not paying attention and hitting them from behind.
