Pregnant Mother Injured in Lenoir County Accident

Comments (0)

What Happened:

An awful accident occurred in Lenoir County, North Carolina (NC). A mother and her young child were injured when a tractor trailer crashed into their vehicle. The big rig operator was traveling on Highway 70 when he swerved to miss a truck and wound up crashing into a car in the parking lot of BJ's Grill.

Tiffany N. Smith, from Finston, was loading her child into the car when this wreck occurred, according to wnct.com. Both Mrs. Smith and her child suffered injuries. If that wasn't bad enough, reports indicate that Mrs. Smith was pregnant at the time. Reader comments on the wnct.com article indicate that she may have lost her unborn child.

Below is a news report on this Lenoir County accident:

The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mrs. Smith and we sincerely hope she and her child make a speedy recovery. The Smith family should consider consulting with a North Carolina personal injury lawyer to discuss their legal options. In these types of accidents, the trauma can be extensive, especially since the young mother in this accident may have lost an unborn child.
