Around 6:30 pm on February 5, 2012, a head-on collision on Highway 177 in Rocky Point, North Carolina (NC), took the life of the at-fault pickup driver, badly injured a van's driver and sent fourchildren to the hospital with critical injuries.

According to WECT, the pickup crossed the center line while rounding a curve then rammed the an despite both drivers' efforts to swerve and avoid the crash. The children in both vehicles were grandchildren of the drivers.

A head-on collision is one of the most dangerous types of accidents. My thoughts go out to the families and friends of all of the victims.

Because emotions run high at times such as this, it is important to contact an experienced North Carolina attorney for assistance in dealing with any claims that need to be filed. A lawyer can provide clear thinking and deal with the details, allowing family members to care for each other. To learn more, read this free guide to persoal injury claims filed on behalf of chidren.
