Comments (0)

What Happened:

On Saturday, November 17, 2012, there was a car crash on West Sugar Creek Rd. in Charlotte, North Carolina. It appears that one vehicle crossed over the center of the road and crashed into a few cars heading in the opposite direction. Three people were taken to the local hospital with injuries.

The North Carolina Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

This type of accident leads one to wonder what would cause a driver to cross over the median, which according to news reports, was made of concrete. The first things that come to mind are driving under the influence, distracted driving, or sleeping behind the wheel. As North Carolina car accident attorneys, we have seen car crashes caused by all three possibilities. We hope that none of the injuries were life-threatening and that everyone has a quick recovery.

Potentially Helpful Info:

Regardless of what caused the driver to go left of center, the fact is that it was most likely the reason all of the victims were injured. Even if charges are not filed after the investigation is complete, anyone who was injured and was not the at-fault driver can file a claim to be reimbursed for their injuries. Victims can be compensated for pain and suffering, lost wages, and medical expenses, among others. In this video, two of our NC car accident lawyers discuss how to recover lost wages in a personal injury case.
