Raleigh, NC Pedestrian Killed by Car

A fatal traffic accident along New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC), killed a 39-year-old man and two dogs around midnight in September 2011. According to NBC17, the accident happened near Neuse River Bridge, close to the Raleigh/Knightdale line. The at-faut driver was allegedly intoxicated when he hit the dog walker. Yet, the 23-year-old driver hadn't consumed enough alcohol to charge him with impairment for the accident.

This North Carolina pedestrian accident illustrated the damage that can occur in a car crash. The pedestrian was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and the unexpected can put someone's life at risk when people drive while intoxicated.
