The multiple-car wreck along I-40 near I-85, in North Carolina, tragically disrupted the lives of the teen and his family when they were traveling on a spring break from school. Going north on the interstate, another car spun out of control and struck the car the teen was in, which then collided with another car before running over a guardrail and down an embankment.
The teen, a student at Pickerington North High School, died at the scene. Two members of the teen's family were hospitalized for injuries. Police charged the driver of the car that caused the wreck.
