One Person Hospitalized Following North Carolina Car Accident

One person was taken to the hospital after a car crash in early September 2011 on a Saturday morning. It happened about 2 am at North Davidson and 28th Street in the NoDa neighborhood in Charlotte, NC. According to wbtv.com, police said alcohol was a factor in the crash. Luckily, no one died in the accident.

This North Carolina car crash illustrates the damage that can occur in a car accident.  As North Carolina personal injury attorneys, my colleagues and I have seen many car accidents occur in busy roads. Everyone’s life is put at risk when drivers take the wheel while intoxicated.

The firm's lawyers have assisted numerous victims in car accident cases involving drunk drivers.  In one case, we settled in Fairfax County, Virgini (VA)
, four friends were driving when they were suddenly and violently smashed in the rear. When the police came to the scene, they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming off the woman driver who rear-ended our clients’ car. After field sobriety tests were given, the at-fault driver was charged with second-offense drunk driving/DUI.  In our settlement negotiations, we advised the insurance adjuster with confidence a jury would be eager to punish the driver responsible for causing this accident, and reminded the insurer punitive damages could be awarded by the jury.
