Girl Killed in McLeansville
The News & Record of Greensboro reported that her body of was found on Saturday morning, after a conductor informed police that a train hit a body on the tracks. The girl was found less than a mile from her home, and could have been hit by at least two other trains after she was initially found. As per Sheriff's Capt. Ken Whitesell, an autopsy is planned and the investigation will continue.
Our sympathies are with the poor girl's family at this time, who must endure the rest of their lives knowing what they have lost. What a terrible accident. To have your life end in the blink of an eye in a railroad accident-an unfortunate reminder of the damage that railroads can do to us all.
What is truly unbelievable is that the girl may have been hit by two other trains before the railroad saw fit to inform the authorities. What other protocol might they have failed to follow that led to this young lady's demise? Circumstances like this are why a capable attorney needs to be sought immediately for a private consultation. He or she will be able to tell you if you can pursue compensation against the railroad company for the enormous loss you suffered.
