Four People Injured in Three Vehicle Accident on U.S. 221

A three-vehicle accident o U.S. 221 in Fleetwood, North Carolina (NC), sent four people to the hospital with injuries. The crash began when a female driver crossed the center lane of the highway, then immediately hit another car headlight-to-headlight. The at-fault driver's car then spun out and hit another car head-on.

According to the Jefferson Post, the victims were all taken to Ashe Memorial Hospital. It is not yet known what exactly caused the at-fault driver to cross the center line.

Was she distracted? Possibly drowsy? We will have to wait to see what the accient investigation reveals.
