Fatal Chlorine Spill in South Carolina (SC) Continues to Cost Norfolk Southern

Comments (0)
In his latest post to our firm's Railroad Accident/FELA Lawyers blog, my colleague John C. reports that Norfolk Southern has been order to pay its insurer $58 million to make up for payments of injury and wrongful death claims following a deadly 2005 release of toxic chlorine gas in Graniteville, South Carolina (SC). John observes that NS should take more than a financial lesson away from the accident and should focus instead on spending time and money on preventing similar tragedies in the future.
