Bus Driver Charged in Relation to I-85 Wreck That Killed Three

Virginia State Police have reported that a November 2011 accident on I-85 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia (VA), killed two men and one woman who were riding in a pickup truck that collided with a logging truck and a chartered bus. The bus hit the pickup truck, pushing it into the log truck.  A fourth individual in the truck was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Now, the driver of the bus carrying students from North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, NC, has been charged with reckless driving in connection with the collision.

This report on a deadly bus crash, and the recent update by one of our firm's NC personal injury lawyer's, on the driver involved in the SkyExpress bus crash in Virginia in May 2011 that left four people dead and others seriously injured, causes us to reflect on how people often get killed or seriously injured when they ride on buses operated by drivers who do not comply with reasonable standards of care.
