Head-On Collision Kills Child in North Carolina (NC)

If you were told today that when you got into your car you would kill a child if you weren't absolutely careful and did not pay attention to your driving, would you do everything in your power to drive safely? Would you stop completely at every red light and stop sign?  Would you refrain from bending over and changing  the radio station? Refrain from digging through your purse, or from looking away from the road to read a text?

Of course you would!

Then every time you get in a car make it that way. Distracted driving is unsafe, irresponsible and can lead, in a split second, to the death of innocent people.

It blows my mind how many head-on collisions have occurred recently and how many families have been shattered because of those crashes. Short of a medical emergency or an equipment failure, there really is no reason for these types of accidents to happen.

This time it was a head-on collision on Highway 43 near Rock Springs, North Carolina (NC), that ended with a 6-year-old dead and three others taken to the hospital.

A Jeep Cherokee, heading north between Greenville and Falkland, crossed the center line and collided with a 2009 Honda Accord passenger vehicle. One woman and another child suffered injures, but the 6 year old was killed. It's tragic when anyone is killed, but the pain is so much worse when the victim is a young child. Sadly, the Highway Patrol says the three were heading to a wedding at the time of the accident. Troopers are still investigating the accident.

When a child is tragically killed due to someone else's negligence, you should consider filing a wrongful death lawsuit. Clearly, this is a difficult and sensitive issue. You may be struggling with the loss of your child and don't want to get tangled up in a lawsuit. Again, this is why retaining the services of an attorney is important. We can take that burden off your shoulders and pursue the legal claim on your behalf.
