The Charlotte Observer reported the death of a teenage girl in Cabarrus County, North Carolina (NC) only hours after having graduated from high school. According to the report, she was a passenger in a car driven by a friend who wound up crashing the car near Lake Lynn Road.
The accident happened when the driver ran off the road, over corrected and hit a utility pole.
My deepest sympathies go out to the family of the young girl who was killed. As a father, I would be a devastated if I lost one of my children in a sudden car accident. It's a tragedy that can hardly be expressed with words.
Police are still deciding whether or not to charge the driver. The wreck remains under investigation.
