Bus-Motorcycle Accident Injures Two on I-40

Comments (0)

The Story: According to myfox8.com, a motorcycle in Greensboro, North Carolina (N.C.) collided with a tour bus as the former attempted to merge onto Interstate 40. The cyclists were attempting to merge onto I-40 East in Greensboro where the Holiday Tour Bus was traveling while returning from a trip to Virginia; the motorcycle then collided with the bus, an accident which the bus driver claims to have tried to avoid. The cyclists were taken to the hospital due to the injuries they suffered; at the time of this posting, their condition was unknown.

Motorcycle accidents have the potential to be much more injurious or deadly than does a “normal” car accident, as the operator of a motorcycle or motorbike is far more vulnerable to injury than are their counterparts in four-wheeled vehicles. Motorists always have a duty to watch out for others who are on the road, but drivers need to be especially aware of motorcycles that are nearby; what might be a small fender-bender in a four-wheeled vehicle could mean serious injury or even death for those on a motorcycle. We recently successfully argued a $450,000 settlement for a motorcycle accident victim who had to have his leg amputated, so we know how terrible they can be.

If you’ve been injured in a motorcycle accident, you should consider speaking to a personal injury lawyer. You’re probably wondering how you’re going to pay your hospital bills, make up for lost wages at work due to your injuries, and other concerns that are on people’s minds after an accident; our Carolina injury attorneys are able to help ease some of these concerns by fighting to secure for you the legal compensation to which you are entitled in the event of a crash. Our lawyers have written an in-depth guide to motorcycle accidents and injures in North Carolina, detailing what to do if you are involved in such a crash and what legal action can be taken; you can click here to download it for free.
