An accident involving a car, pickup truck, and school bus occurred on Freedom Drive near Alleghany Street in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC).
Reports indicate the driver of the car made a sudden decision to pull in to a gas station and the truck slammed into the car. The bus then hit the truck.
One person was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, according to wsoctv.com.
NC school bus No. 321 was involved in the accident. Fortunately, no students were on board at the time of the accident.
This car-truck-bus accident illustrates the dangers associated with making a sudden turn when vehicles are around you. We all need to remember that when we decide to make a lane change or turn into a gas station that the vehicles behind us need enough forewarning to react. The same caution is needed for the vehicles in the opposite lane or the area where you're turning to.
